The 'SWISS ALPINE LIONS' started as a small group of 6 musicians with the passion to play for fun. Some were SWISS nationals, others from the surrounding ALPINE countries, the USA and Singapore (the LION city.) All have years of experience in European Country Brass / Wind Bands and in Military-Corps Bands. The band developed over the past years and received high recognition in Singapore entertaining at various Oktoberfests, Carnivals, Parties and many other Country-Club & Corporate-Events. Presently, 13 musicians (12 men + 1 lady) are practicing at the Swiss Club, once weekly, to enjoy the sound of Big Band music. The unique "Alphorn" completes the original sound.

Performed at well over 100 musical-events, 'The Swiss Alpine Lions' is also the official Band of 'The Swiss Embassy' in Singapore. The music-repertoire ranges from Marches, Polkas, Ländler, Walz, Evergreens, Country, Dixiland, Big Band Sound and classical festive music.
A first professional CD has been recorded in October 2006 'The Swiss Alpine Lions' Selection (ISBN 981-05-7236-0 SAL001/06.) The CD is on sale during our Performances, at 'The Swiss Club' and at 'The Huber's Butchery' (Upper Bukit Timah Road & Dempsey Road.)
